Privacy

No cookies, no identifiers, no consent wall.

The search never leaves your browser. The index of recordings and artists is a file this site serves; your typing is matched against it in the page. Nothing you type is sent anywhere, logged or stored — which is also why the search works with the network off once the index is loaded.

Visits are counted without cookies or identifiers. A page reports the day, the day this browser first visited, the referrer, the path, the device class, the language and the country. Nothing in that is an id, and there is no cookie, no fingerprint and no third-party analytics script. The first-visit day lives in this browser's own storage and is never sent back to it by us.

No consent wall. Some sites in this niche open with a dialogue listing several hundred advertising partners. This one does not have that dialogue, because it does not have those partners.

What is stored in your browser: the light-or-dark choice, the key last selected on the circle-of-fifths tool, and the first-visit day. All three are conveniences, all three are wrapped so a browser with storage blocked keeps working, and clearing site data removes them.

Advertising. Where an advertisement is shown, the network serving it sets what it sets and is named in the page it is served from. Nothing on this site passes it anything you typed.

Music you own. This site holds no audio, uploads nothing and asks for no file. Every measurement was made years ago by somebody else and published into the public domain.
